# Devilish Installation Tutorial # By Nitro(syn) [ v**********3@h*****l.com ] # orginal Tutorial by fritz [fritz@hax-studios.net] # Original Tutorial Producer: Armon # For use with devilish # Official Site: http://devilish.hax-studios.net # Official IRC Channel: #devilish at irc.sorcery.net This guide will tell you how to install the files you will need to play on the best damn RO server out there!!!!! *** If you do not have WinRAR, you can not play devilish(Exception if you have another extracter that supports RAR archives) *** kRO Client: http://hax-studios.net/pub/raginstall/RAG_SETUP0401.EXE kRO Sakray: http://hax-studios.net/pub/raginstall/SAK_SETUP0127.EXE Devilish Patch: http://hax-studios.net/devilish/files/Devilish.rar NOTE: Finding these files can be very easy... simply post on any RO message board, or it would be best to read or ask at the Devilish message board at: http://hax-studios.net/forum/ ANOTHER NOTE: Alternate files can be found here: ftp://ragnarok.nefficient.co.kr/pub/ragnarok/ *** Do NOT continue until you have all of the above files. *** Execute the following steps, in order, exactly as I say. 1) Open the kRO Client Setup(RAG_SETUP0401.EXE) and install it. 2) Open the kRO Sakray Setup(SAK_SETUP0127.EXE) and install that. 3) Go to your RO folder(Default is C:\Program Files\Gravity\RO), and double click on Sakray(NOT Sakexe.exe). The game will then start patching. Wait for it to complete patching, and press the Exit button. Note: If the download goes slow, simply close and restart... Some times it can take about 5 trys before it starts to get going at a good download rate. *** this can take a great while *** 4) Open the devilish Patch(Devilish.rar) with WinRAR. Click on the data folder, then go to the Extract button at the top. Select the folder where your RO is installed(Default is C:\Program Files\Gravity\RO) and press the OK button. It will now patch your client, so you can connect to the devilish Server. 5) Congrats! You are done installing Devilish! 6) To play go to your RO folder and click elite.exe(it is wise to make a shortcut to this file on your desktop). To play you have to open elite.exe everytime ***** START: To Register a account ***** In order to register for an account. You will have to have to start the game. Once you start the game you get to the login screen. This is where you create an account. Enter an user name in the user name field. For the user name add the extention _M for a male account, or _F for a female account. Eg. UserName: Silent_M Password: homer Then click on to login and account is created! The next time you login you dont use the _M,or _F extentions. Your done! ***** END: To Register a account ***** Note: We get the question "Why is there no WoE on Devilish?" so I'm going to just answer that here... We are using the 817 version of eAthena so that our players can use a kRO client(elite.exe for example) that supports dyes... The new releases of eAthena, which arnt even very stable yet anyways, require a 406 or higher version .EXE... the problem is, with these clients, there is no dye support... and we would ALL look the SAME. I really think being able to use dyes to display our personaility and uniqueness is alot more important then being able to have War of Emperium... but if I get enough feedback, I will upgrade to the latest build of eAthena, but that means no dyes... the choice is really up to you. --------- If you have any problems go to the official Devilish IRC channel And remember, if you get 5 players playing devilish, you can get a free item!(Any item except MvP cards) P.S: Hey this is me fritz, I added this small thing at the bottom to let you know that FUCKING NITRO ripped my installation guide and only changed like 5 things... yeah he said original content by fritz(me) but he failed to mention that he changed like 5 things... oh well hopefully he wont scroll down the the bottom...
