Okay so I've been thinking that maybe having the ability to pick these jobs right off the bat from a level ??/10 novice is kind of not fair. Now, now, I know that they are expanded classes but still they shouldn't be on par with first jobs, as far as being able to pick them in such ways.

Since Super Novice itself is a expanded class, it would only make sense to pick these expanded classes from yet still a novice-type class just not the regular novice class thus requiring a little bit more work.

So what do you think Devilish? Should Super Novice 99/99 be required for Gunslinger, Taekwon, Ninja? Novice ??/10 is just unfair, and yes these classes will be fully functional soon so don't bother mentioning 'well they're kind of broken atm' or 'they're skills don't work', cause they will!

Regards,
fritz

;D I 100% Agree Though me being the person to have suggested it indeed I will agree on my own opinion.

Getting a public vote is the best option.

I think that since they are a final class with no alternative rebirth class they should be a second class or their own rebrith as you coulds say. They are much to good to be so easy to get. It's like giving Breaker to a novice. blink

So I vote yes. ^ ^

Yesh, I agree. :3
If it's an "expanded" class, it shouldn't be first anyway. You should be able to work your way up to it somehow, and possibly some people will appreciate them more.
Also, making those classes with job level 70s would be absolutely dandy. Job level 50 kind of rips them off by 20 skills, so that puts them behind in ranking already.
But hay, it's just an idea. :3 <3

I almost completely disagree, though I won't really speak for the other classes besides the Taekwon and Star Gladiator. The only real reason why these classes seem so broken now is that the rates are rather high. In a real game of RO Taekwons seriously require alot of patience to level because while everyone else is doing like 100+ at level 25, Taekwon can only master 40+ at the most, 120 with skills. That's incredibly painful to them. Adding to the fact that they do not have a skill to help with their flee, things only get worse. Besides, the only time when Taekwons really match up with the second class and transcedant class people are when they become Rankers at level 90. That's alot of work! The only time when a Star Glad can really catch up is when they have learnt Demon, and that gives them permanent blindness. I am experiencing it now, and I find it very irritating!

If this is to be implemented, I believe it should not require a lvl 99/99 Supernovice but rather, at the most, a lvl 30/10 Novice.

Giving 70 Skill Points for Taekwons and Star Gladiators is just a bad idea. Star Glads don't need that amount of skill points, and for Taekwon Rankers, the ability to use all skills when they become a level 90 Ranker is one of the main reasons why they set out to do those Taekwon Missions in the first place!

The thing about Taekwons is that they're designed to be permanent classes, and that's why they seem so owning. No one plays a Perma Swordie! That's just nonsense. With most other classes, you either stay a novie, or go second class. But to stay a permanent Taekwon, you absolutely have to want to be a Ranker, and be lvl 90 and above. That's really when everything pays off. At similar levels, Taekwons are usually weaker, not stronger, than most other classes of the same level. They need the right build, and the right items.

Yes Teakwan should stay. They after all have another class they can go to. As for Ninja and Gunslinger. They are as good as most Rebirth classes with upsides and downsides.

I agree that the expanded classes might need to be a little harder to get. But, if this is implemented, will all the Taekwons and Gunslingers go bye-bye and have to accomplish those new requirements to become their previous class again...?
Members
No, just because in kRO, you can be one of the expanded classes right after becoming a job 10 Novice.
And plus, there's a chance that Star Gladiators and Soul Linker are going to get Transclasses, since they're way too similar to the 2-1 and 2-2 classes line...
Oh, and there's also the HP problem, for all of them.
As for Ninjas and Gunslingers... well, Gravity designed them to be this way. Powerful, but weak, HP-side. At least weak compared to most of the transclasses. At least they won't get a trans, surely. >.>'
And they have 70 as their max job level, due to the excess of skills, and possible builds... I believe it's not even possible for a Ninja to get Final Strike with only 49 points to use. >.>'

No. That would take forever not to mention they would have to send aGM to set back everyone's calsses. But there could be a problem for those who reached the job lvl limit. They would need to reset their job but even then they could not add up for the lost job lvls. Unless a GM personaly raised it to +50. Though for those who are not at lvl +100 on base they can still lvl their job enough to catch up to lost skills.

Yes that is true. But maybe they should make the dissision now before people go off making them in pre-panic to save themselves a GS or Ninja. Once they make it hopefully they will wait till the skills are fixed before applying this. Though I'm sure Assassin Cross or Champion were not so easy to get even though they were being worked on still.

Umm that new addition for the Job lvl is a bit to harsh to settle with.

I mean most of the skills for the GS and Ninja WON'T be reached with only 49 job points.

I agree with the general consensus against the proposed requirements. Why make people work harder for a class that is (not necessarily) inferior to transcended classes, or in some cases 2-x classes as well? I've not experimented with extended classes as of yet, so I can't really offer anything other than my own personal insight into that issue.

Continuing onward, how about instead maybe there be the option to change into the expanded classes at novice level 50- alongside with the option to become a super novice? I realize that this is still a fairly easy task to accomplish, but more work is required to hit level 50 as a novice than to reach that same milestone as any other regular 1-x class.

Yes.

I don't think that Teakwon should be a part of it since they already have a second class to go to. SL and SG.

But Gunslingers and Ninja should be after Supernovice. And I guess 99/70 Is a bit harsh. I think they should be reached reasonably at lvl 50 supernovice instead of rebirth lvl. It would make it a hell of lot easier. So you could call those 2 classes the same as SG and SL since they are after a class that can be a permanet class.

Being able to change into Ninja or Gunslinger after getting, let's say... job 50 with a Super Novice would make a bit of sense, but only if SN's/GS'/Ninja's HPs were improved. :\
And if people at Gravity made it so you can be a Ninja/Gunner right after getting job 10 with a Novice, AND gave them 70 job levels, there must be some reason.
So... I keep preferring that you just leave them like they are now. >_> (at least the biggest part of the other servers are like this...)

Taekwons shouldn't have to go through the super novice thing because they can move up classes unlinke Ninja and Gunslinger.

So you are saying that ninja and gunslinger should not have their skills available because of a Job cap?

Why don't they just delete the unreachable skills completely? They are just wasted space if they can't be used. dry

That is reasonable, like I said a few posts back GS and Ninja are final classes like SG and SL.

I dont know how its here, but GS and Ninja are supposed toneed LOADS of jobexp...dont know how far its here with that changes, but they are supposed to be at like job 40 when u reach level 90...sometimes o_O U normally reach joblvl 67 or smth at lvl 99 rebirth, but here rates with jobexp are strange...*job 70 WS at lvl 77 o_O* If the ninja would get normal jobexp noone would still talk bout them needing other class before switching into them <.<
