....She just came out of nowhere and is a GM?.......PLUS its a " she " so im not even going to begin what i think of this....because this has already been discussed....c'mon, why is SHE a gm and not Sakura? i thought u said she was next?......

True...I am wondering about that, too. I mean the GM thread is supposed to show all the current GMs, yet it is totally outdated and there are many new GMs I don't even know, as it seems. Another example, vorseblade told me today that he became Support GM, too. Nothing against him (I told him that already so no worries), but his English is rather...hm, well questionable.
No clue what is going on here. ^^;;; |

I don't think so, no.
But hey...I'm a girl myself, so... ^^;;; I know what you are trying to say. That girls have greater chances to become GM. Though I am pretty sure it is not the reason why I was choosen. |

For those who weren't in server last night or early morning EST... this is what happened.
Alexiana took the essay exam.... in fact i was told she wrote tons for the exam. She has a few nice and original ideas. She did well in the GM qualification examination. Thus she was made GM. This averages out to about a 2.57, which we rounded up to a 2.6 for our purposes. For the Americans, this is about a B to B- in American Colleges. Which I think, clearly indicates that she has good potential and great assets to the Devilish Team. As for NeoSakura, i think your app have already been approved, all that we need to do is give you power... and this is an equal opputunity chance for GM-ship. Guys and Girl all have the same equal chance of becoming GMs. It is not my fault that none of you guys decided to sit through and gruel through the essay exams. The girls did it, they did well, met our requirements, so don't complain! As for the other accusation: No. different people, don't even go there, she jacked my name to begin with. but it's good to know people actually read my bloody craptacular xanga, eprops me <_< This post has been edited by Rayster on Nov 22 2004, 11:09 AM |

I was originally a sniper expert, because the person who taught me RO was a sniper expert, I didn't even know how to use Paladin until much later. I decided to make the paladin my main gm character because it looks more "manly"

Alright then, i'll send in an application, and i dont wanna hear any kinda shit like " oh, well you werent accepted because you arent old enough " which is complete bull because u once had a gm my age. and i dont wanna hear " oh, you werent accepted because we arent accepting applications anymore.. " because you guys have gotten gm's even when u werent accepting applications...and better not get rejected because of my foul mouth, because jus look at Hiro, when he was GM he was talkin about.....well......im not gonna go there, but well just see how my application goes....

Just don't bug people about becoming GM, they don't really like it. I for example asked once about becoming GM some time ago, unofficially that is. I waited, well and now I was announced.

Well good luck then. All essays are read and discussed by a panel of 2 or 3 GMs. (you can think SAT II writing-wise)
We will grade you on: Ability to follow instructions: When we said 1 page essays, we don't mean 1 sentences answers. And please, do know what you are doing before you sit down and write the paper Originality: If you have new things or have unique reasons, this may interest us... we have been so sick of getting "OMGZ! I want to be gm la cuz me want help people la but no power la!" (i did that on purpose, and no offense to the people who actually write this down, back up your reasons, that's what we are really looking for) Ability to think, and act on your own if you need to: pretty self-explainatory and then there are other small things that i won't go into The panel will review all applications, those who are approved will move on to the GM qualification test created by a certain GM I respect highly, approved by Allowei. No, im not complaining, and i dont really wanna be a GM....but hell,if these people who come out of nowhere can be GM's then i could be able to, only if i score high enuff though, so im applying, and i was just stating the things that COULD get me rejected but really shouldnt because there have been other GM's with the same qualities as me.....

If you don't even want to become GM, then just don't send applications. That is confusing people...and this is a very serious matter. As it was said more than once, think before making such a desicion. You might regret it later on.
