Well, I started on the server about a month ago, and this is probably the 4th wipe I've seen... So I'm guessing people should expect a wipe every 2 or 3 weeks. And darn it, they're pretty consistent about it. <_<

rates high....tons of npcs... a healer and warper .... pretty much it doesn't matter if theres a wipe (good thing its not like iRO) its pretty easy to get every thing with this much help

Calling it a wipe would be inaccurate... why? Because we didn't wipe
I don't know what causes it, but its obviously something a player is doing since its happened 3 times in a row in the past two days... Anyways what ever is happening causes account.txt to get cleared... I can open it up in pico or any other text editor and it will be blank (Read 0 bytes from file)... The character files, storage, guilds and etc don't get deleted but since without the account file what use are the others? Everything would get messed up, people would create accounts and they have random characters on there account from the get go(since accounts are referred to by there ID number rather then the actual account name)... It would be kinda crazy to do that wouldn't you think? Anyways to tell you the truth, and if it wasn't obvious enough, I really don't care about this server any more, I've moved on to other things now but I will continue to fund it as long as I can pay for it (there was 85 in my paypal last time I checked, server costs 125 USD a month so you do the math)... The next payment is on the 28th and quite frankly I'm tired of this server getting all messed up and I keep saying I'm going to upgrade to SQL but I keep putting it off, but if I get 125 in my paypal before the 28th I guess I'll have to update to SQL so there will be alot less problems (.TXT doesn't work well when the text files reach 70 megabytes) And thats the word from fritz himself sooooooooo yeah lol Regards, fritz |
