Because many players do not seem to know their rights, and the limits of a GM, it'll be listed publicly.

First, guidelines GMs must follow The following excerpt is from the G A M E M A S T E R ' S - R U L E S 1st Edition written by Unknown (known but currently chooses to be nameless).


I. No transactions In-Game

1. Do not fight against any monsters, which spawns regular on maps
2. Do not loot any items from ground (when no owner is around TOO)
3. Do not killsteal monsters
4. Do not support players
+ 4.2 ... with monster spawns
+ 4.3 ... with Item giveaway
+ 4.4 ... with dropping items
+ 4.5 ... with spawn monsters, kill monster and let loot
+ 4.6 ... with tanking
+ 4.7 ... with warping
+ 4.8 ... with setting new savepoints
5. Do not join any Guild or Party with legit characters in it!
6. The GM Guild can just have ONE Guildcastle
7. Do not buy or sell any items to/from players

II. Behaviour of the Gamemasters

1. Be fair and respectfully to the players
2. Don't do normal conversations with /b, /nb, /lb, /nlb command
3. Be serious, reasonably and don't act like a little child
4. Do the best to be friendly, but serious
5. Only do fair Events, where everybody CAN win something
6. Do not BROADCAST every answer of questions, just whisper back

III. Events

1. Announce the rules of the event 1 to 3 times (no more)
2. Do not give out Godlike/GM items

GM ITEMS:
- Balmung (2-handed Sword)
- Horns of Lord Kaho (Upper Headgear)
- Choco Card (Weapon Card)
- Executioner Card (Weapon Card)
- Hacked Items (Very Very Strong Hat of Bigmouth, GTB Sunglasses, etc.)

GODLIKE ITEMS:
- Mjolnir
- Sleipnir
- Brisingamen
- Gleipnir
- Megingjard

- End of note

This means, stop asking GMs to buy or sell you items, etc. while GMs, by the book, aren't allowed to abuse, with the exception of the administration of Devilish.

In addition, GMs are to follow by other Devilish GM rules. One noteworthy may be abusing @kami and/or /nb (as often requested by fritz). Players have the right to know who is broadcasting, and have the right to know which GMs are online.

Now for player's rights and the like.


All players are allowed to give us complaints, suggestions, and any other feedbacks, as long as it does not violate our Terms of Service.

If a player believes another party is playing unfairly in any way, it may be reported to a Game Master.

If a player believe a Game Master is abusing his/her powers, disrupting the economy, giving considerable advantages to certain parties, treating you unfairly, and/or otherwise unbalancing the game in any way, and/or unable to GM objectively, players have the right to collect "evidence" such as screenshots, logs, witnesses or any forms of witness, etc. and present it as a report.

Players have the right to rally other players in support for their cause, as long as it is within our ToS and done reasonably. This includes gathering other users to protest against a party or even a GM of Devilish.

Players have the right to report bugs/etc. - and be rewarded if their report was significantly helpful.

Players are free to "petition" or form online polls on the Devilish forums.

If I missed anything else, I apologize. But most importantly, players have the right to have fun on Devilish.

Players do not have the right to violate our ToS and other various rules.

This will be updated as necessary.

Remember, more player participation and support will net you better service and such. Also, it's a good way to get noticed by GMs. So join us! ^^

Excellent work Tsunade, I hope our new GM's will take note of these rules and will follow them to the best of there abilities.

I also hope players will read this and know the limits of a GM so they're not tempted to get one in trouble...

Any NON HEAD GM's need to pass all events, character resets, etc etc though a head GM(Tsunade, Ally or I). This will help us make sure you are doing things right... eventually it will get to the point where we will no longer need to question your judgement thus you will have free will.... this is mainly for newer gms, not necessarily non head gms... Trust can be gained in time

Also I'd like to say no action will be taken on ANY GM if reports are made with out substantial evidence for us to investigate the problem.

Excessive violations will result in loss of your GM power. (I'd say we can be pretty lenient, but don't push your luck... its important to make sure our players are treated as you'd treat guests in your house, and if you cant follow a simple set of rules it makes it hard for us to believe that you can do that)

And as Tsunade said there are some extra things we request. As you read, we don't recommend broadcasting with no name, for reasons previously stated... but something I'd like to add to the extra rules is a note about @guildspy. I find my self using this command to much... For the intention of good and tracking unfair players, hacker guilds and etc this is a wonderful function... If you find out something you wish you hadn't known(some one hates you, girl friend cheating on you, found out the guy really did hack your email etc etc lol) please do not act on these comments, it is important to let the players keep there privacy. They didn't come insult or harass you to your face, so don't go back and do it to them... blow it off, you shouldn't even know any ways! Alls I can say is if people keep abusing @guildspy I will have to remove it, future implmentation will be decided by me and if I think my GM's are mature enough to have it.... And remember, ignorance is bliss(some times it can hurt to learn things you shouldn't know)

I think GM's need to have an extra rule:
- Don't be a pussy if someone violates the rules, give him or her the punishment that is stated in the rule section.

This server still misses a GM who really punishes people who violate rules, all the GM's seem to avoid punishing people, it's kinda gay.

I hope so, the only one that got banned so far is Clueless, and it took a longggg time before he finnaly got banned why he should've been banned from the moment he started packeting.

Btw: No warnings, punish immediatly, the rule list itself is enough of a warning and they know violating one of the rules is gonna mean punishment for them (Although the pussy behaviour of some GM's sometime they might think another way right now.)

None of these items should be flying around after the wipe. Note that there are considerations of somehow bring back mjornir due to persisting demands, but there's absolutely no way it'll be done that even a third of the Devilish population will be acquire it. Of course this'll require time, insight, and feedback.
